Grown at 760 metres.
The 2006 merlot grown on 12 year old vines is deep crimson in colour with lifted plum and red currant aromas.
Open fermentation at warm temperatures has provided soft tannins and maximized texture.
The wine was finished in 3-4year old French oak hogsheads.
Will cellar well until at least 2010.
