Known as Australia’s premier Sauvignon Blanc, the Shaw & Smith Adelaide Hills winery has set a serious benchmark for the grape variety. The grapes are hand picked from vineyards known for their expression and quality fruit. There is no shortcuts in making this wine and the winemaking team value fruit purity and natural acidity above everything else – this is clearly reflected in this clean, crisp, delicious wine.

There is a spectrum of aromas here, primarily tropical fruits but also layers of cut grass and passionfruit. The palate is full flavoured yet has a transparency that makes it refreshing. There is restraint from the taught acidity, which helps clean the mouth and keeps you reaching for more.
