Yarra Burn was responsible for the first Yarra Valley sparkling wine, creating their initial product in 1983. Reflecting the benefits of cool climate vineyard sites, the resulting wines show finesse and elegance while using the classic Champagne varieties of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. The high altitude vineyards are ideal for sparkling wine grape growing and the wine making team brings together over 30 years of experience to create the final products.

The Yarra Burn 2006 vintage sparkling is a Pinot Noir dominant blend which displays the lemon and lime fruit characters associated with cool climate sparkling wine. There is additional yeasty complexity and honeyed notes in the wine, but the overall feel is of fine, soft fruit with a crisp, elegant consistency. 2006 was an excellent year for the Yarra Valley and the finished sparkling is a wonderful, satisfying wine for celebrating with.
